Nordicwoods Trees is Nordicwoods' sustainability department. It was formed with the sole purpose of planting as many trees as possible in Denmark. We plant a tree every time you shop for biofuel at Nordicwoods, but our biggest effort, which sets our sustainability department apart from others, is that we work hard to bring other companies together for afforestation projects.

As a smaller company, it can be extremely resource-intensive to create concrete sustainability projects that we are able to complete. We experienced that ourselves. Most companies would like to have a realistic CSR profile, but find it difficult to find the resources. That is why we have chosen to focus on coordinating and planning the efforts, precisely to make it as easy as possible to become part of a specific forest project.

It would be easier if we ourselves had the resources to plant forests in the whole of Denmark, but we have realized that we can go much further through cooperation. We also believe that climate and environment should be something that brings us together – citizens as well as companies. These thoughts were the seed for Nordicwoods Trees not only to work with our own CSR forest projects, but to try to create a united front to grow the Danish forests in cooperation with other companies.

We take great pride in helping to create the foundation for more forest in Denmark.
